As a staff member of the athletic program under the direction of the athletic director, the head coach implements approved policies of the athletic program; directs the overall activities of the program; cultivates and maintains a positive team culture and provides a positive experience for the student-athletes; communicates effectively with administration, student-athletes, parents, and the media; recommends budget requests for supplies and equipment; provides for the welfare of the athletes; maintains and enhances the school’s standing in the community through the conduct and performance of the players; and fulfills other duties associated with the team and athletes as may be assigned by the athletic director.
Requirements:
Prior coaching experience; effective communication and leadership skills; thorough knowledge of the sport; desire to better the program, school community, and individual student-athletes through positive team culture and character education. Preferred qualifications include head coaching experience and/or playing experience at the high school and/or college level. All State required clearances.
