Halifax Area School District

As of October 1, 2022, and through the end of the 2022-2023 School Year, HASD will be able to serve students a school breakfast at no charge. This change is only applicable to the School Breakfast Program and does not affect a student’s eligibility status for lunch (free, reduced, and paid, respectively). And yes, that is homemade cinnamon breakfast cake .

Free breakfast for all PA. schoolchildren to start on Oct. 1— Pennsylvania parents will soon be able to check making breakfast off their list of things to do in the morning rush to get their children ready for school. Starting Oct. 1 and running through the remainder of the 2022-23 school year, that morning meal will be provided in schools. KinderCamp today! Welcoming the Class of 2035.

The volunteers have been working hard! Remember, the Halifax Area Free Back to School Yard Sale , sponsored by Northern Dauphin Human Services, will be held Friday, August 12 from 10:00 AM till 7:00 PM and Saturday, August 13 from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM for students who live in the Halifax area.

Come out and support the Halifax Girls Soccer team as they fundraise with a Chicken BBQ and Car Wash on Saturday, Aug. 6th in the front of Halifax High School. The car wash will be from 10:00 am-3:00 pm and the Chicken BBQ will be sold starting at 10:30 am until they are gone. The meal is $12 and includes half a chicken , potato , roll, and choice of applesauce or coleslaw. Baked goods will also be sold.

Athletic Dates and info: • Tuesday July 26th 3:30pm – Sports Physicals @ HS Gym. $10 each. No insurance needed. Please compete the Health History of the physical packet prior to arrival. • Tuesday August 2nd 7pm – Fall Sports Parents’ Meetings • Wednesday August 3rd 3p-4p* – ImPACT testing in the Cafeteria (bring your Chromebook) • Monday August 8th – 3p-4p* – ImPACT testing in the Cafeteria (bring your Chromebook) o *testing takes 30-45 minutes. Athletes may arrive anytime between 3pm and 4pm. We will have extra Chromebooks on site for athletes who do not attend in-person at Halifax. • Monday August 8th – Mandatory Football and Golf (@ Millersburg) begins • Monday August 15th – Mandatory Soccer, Volleyball and Middle School Girls’ Basketball begins.
